1) What do you mean by a school partnership or collaboration?
It simply means that we are working with schools to gain access to vulnerable children and their families that desperately need additional support.

2) Do you work with other organisations?
Yes, we welcome working with like-minded organisations and individuals to create a more equitable learning approach.

3) Who can enrol in your programmes?
Our programmes are designed for Black children and families in need of additional educational and emotional support. We work primarily with schools to identify those who would benefit most.

4) How can I support Awaken Genius?
There are many ways to support us! You can donate, partner with us, volunteer, or help spread awareness about our work. Visit our website to learn more.

5) Where do your programmes take place?
We offer after-school, summer, and Saturday programmes at various locations, including schools, community centres, and dedicated learning spaces.

6) How do your programmes help reduce school exclusions?
By providing early intervention, emotional support, and alternative learning methods, we help children and their parents build resilience, regulate emotions, and stay engaged in education, reducing the likelihood of exclusion.

7) Is your curriculum evidence-based?
Yes. Our curriculum is based on PYE Partners for Youth Empowerment (PYE Global), a comprehensive art-based learning approach.

8) Is your curriculum quality assured?
Yes. We have a team of educationalists and therapists, and we actively involve youth with lived experience in shaping the curriculum to ensure it is both effective and meaningful.

9) Are all your staff DBS checked?
Yes. All staff have undergone an enhanced DBS check, and we have a robust safeguarding policy in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in our care.
